Premiere info: October 2021. Performance by Natasha Sutanto, Lia Melo and Clare Juan as part
of the ’’Great Exhibitionists’’ – a competition-based project at the Royal College of Music (London,
UK).
This mixed-media work comprising acoustic performance, dramatic elements and visual effects
was inspired by Petrus Van Schendel – a Dutch-Belgian artist who explored darkness and sources
of light in his paintings. They truly captivate the viewer in their peculiar atmosphere and the
musical composition aims to re-imagine this in an audio-visual experience.
